I'm not sure about that but I know you can skip some of the afflicted mobs by just going around them. The easiest one to avoid is the one nearest the fork in the path ... simply run up to the fork on the higher level and the afflicted will just pass by you. However, this is assuming no one aggros any of them in the process. The first mob can be skirted if you are patient and wait for them to clump up but its just as easy to kill them in most cases.

You can! we took out the first mob in front of the spawing spot. Then we just spiked the crap outta her with degen and slow hex spells, she couldnt get very far. we took her out by the time the 2nd mob was running up on us. Thus causing a cut scene and skipping everything. I got to busy at work last night and couldnt post a pic. but its 7.00 minutes flat.

I just completed this one with my mesmer. Her interrupts did diddly-squat. The first time I attempted it, it was me, 14 henchies, and some guy who didn't speak English. Despite both of us not really knowing what to expect, not being able to communicate, and bumbling through half-arsed, we made it to the final battle before wiping. I noticed none of my interrupts seemed to work, checked these forums and found this thread, and changed my build slightly so that Conjure Phantasm would have a decent duration.

Changed the henchies, now that I knew warriors are useless for this mission. On the kurzick side, took Cynn, Aidan, Danika, Protector Karl, Eve, Professor Gai, and the domination hench (for backup). Started again. This time, the other team is all henchies. Fought every group of afflicted, somehow the dragon's spells were being interrupted (it wasn't me, though I was trying), and cruised through the final battle. Final time: 9:48--masters.

I don't know what the magic formula is for interrupts. I also noticed that Conjure Phantasm had a shorter duration then it should have had, and I didn't see the dragon casting anything to counter it.

Interrupts I tried that seemed ineffective: Cry of Frustration, Leech signet, power leech, power drain, power spike.

I'm not sure if Kuunavang counts as a boss, but I think that all bosses have their own pre-nerfed HoD helm, that is 1/2 duration of hexes cast on them.

Just speculation.

I assume the Kuunavang, and all bosses since factions, are now similar to the Guild Lord. They have +5 pips regen and Natural Resistance. This interrupt immunity thing that the Kuunavang has going on is all new though. Whether the secret formula is 3 ints in a row, specific ints/skills countering only specific skills, only knockdowns for the disrupts, or some other secret method, I don't know. I think we'll just have to keep trying things until we know the answer for sure.

Yeah, maybe taking the domination henchman the second time did it for me. His interrupts with my interrupts may have done the trick. All I can say is I'm glad I didn't do this one with a PUG. They probably would have been yelling at the incompetent mesmer who couldn't interrupt her way out of a paper bag (when normally, she's a kickass interrupter!).
